The Laserfiche ECM system is designed to give IT managers central control over their information infrastructure, including standards, security and auditing, while still offering business units the flexibility to respond quickly to changing conditions. The Laserfiche product suite is built on top of Microsoft® technologies to simplify system administration, supports Microsoft SQL and Oracle® platforms and features a seamless integration with Microsoft Office® applications and a two-way integration with SharePoint®.

Laserfiche distributes its software through a worldwide network of value-added resellers (VARs), who tailor solutions to clients’ individual needs. The Laserfiche VAR program has received the Five-Star Rating from Computer Reseller News/VARBusiness magazine.

History

The original Laserfiche index and retrieval concept was developed by founder and custom software developer Nien-Ling Wacker, Laserfiche President and CEO, to assist a client needing access to records during litigation. As storage hardware costs dropped and organizations saw the value of storing and managing records electronically, the company has grown and prospered.

Business Impact

Laserfiche was founded in 1987 and is a division of Compulink Management Center, Inc., a privately owned corporation established in 1974 to develop custom software solutions. Laserfiche sales have grown significantly over the past five years.

Products

Laserfiche offers several core solution packages to address the business needs of small to large organizations, including Laserfiche Rio, an ECM solution that is straightforward to purchase, deploy, extend, and manage; and Laserfiche Avante, a powerful BPM solution with workflow automation.

Laserfiche Programs

The Professional Developer Partnership (PDP) Program provides the tools needed to integrate software applications with the leading document management solution. From comprehensive development tools to ongoing sales support, Laserfiche designed its PDP Program to provide software developers, resellers, and integrators with the resources they need to successfully develop, complete, and market integrations with Laserfiche.

The ACE Program provides Analysts, Consultants, and Experts with insight and differing perspectives on ECM, BPM, and transparent records management, vital to facilitate client recommendations and further business practices.

People

Laserfiche directly employs almost 200 executives, managers, software developers, engineers and support staff. More than 1,000 VARs who have been trained and certified by the company distribute the software worldwide in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic, Vietnamese, Korean, Italian, and Chinese (simplified and traditional) versions. The VARs also install and integrate the software, train users, and supply hardware.
